Globally, cancer is the leading cause of death, accounting for nearly 1 in 6 deaths in 2020 with majority coming from Asia. Given today’s ageing population, and emerging factors like diet and environment, the burden of cancer is only projected to increase.
To tackle the rising cancer burden and increase the chances of survival, the integration of diagnostic testing and treatment is key. In the era of precision oncology, genomic profiling, clinical decision support solutions, and multidisciplinary partnership can enable early diagnosis and personalised treatment, presenting the opportunity to improve the lives of millions of people around the world.
